Academia vs. Industry
Academia vs. Industry

The transition from academia to industry can be daunting and feel like a jump into the unknown. This is not the case at QUBIG. Our product development is driven by exciting in-house research and we work with world leading scientists, universities and manufacturing brands. This makes QUBIG an exciting destination for those who have decided to make a move from academia into industry.

Here, you will have the best of both worlds. You will develop your scientific research into cutting-edge tools for scientists all over the world where, in addition to the challenging technological aspects of product development, a deep understanding of the application is required. In both cases, the challenge of creating new products and the deep scientific knowledge required are the same. Also, because we are a scientific innovation business, you can expect to find the friendly and supportive atmosphere commonly found in research groups.

At QUBIG, all scientific staff make daily use of the expertise acquired during their studies. No matter what your position (development or production), your tasks will always demand adaptability and scientific intuition. This is the reason our team is made solely of graduate and post-graduate scientists.

Therefore, QUBIG is the ideal workplace if you want to combine a career in industry with a truly science-based job.

Work Facilities

QUBIG invests substantially in technical infrastructure.

The company has its own in-house machine shop with CNC machinery for high-precision rapid prototyping. We also have several fully equipped laser booths and top-class measurement equipment. This allows our team to rapidly test and develop solutions in-house to the benefit of both our clients and our scientists.

Spontaneous Applications

As a fast-growing, founder-led company we offer a variety of career opportunities. Independently from our vacancies, we are always looking for smart, passionate people to join our team! Whether you are an experienced professional, a PhD/MSc graduate or a student looking for an internship, do not hesitate to contact us!

Just send your CV and covering letter to hr@qubig.com.
