LCM Laser Conditioning Modules

The assembly of high-precision optical components into compact systems is the core of the photonics industry and, up to now several key optical components with a small form factor have been missing to drive the technological progress further. Electro-optic and acousto-optic light modulators are pivotal devices that enable the control of light‘s amplitude, frequency, and phase. The use of novel compact light modulators in optoelectronic modules offers enhanced flexibility and contributes to the evolving landscape of photonics, underscoring the transformative potential of advanced light control. To realize these systems, QUBIG offers key technologies and techniques incorporated in our laser conditioning modules, including optics micro-assembly, active electro-/acousto-optic components, fiber coupling, and integrated electronics.

OPTICS MICRO ASSEMBLY

With micro-assembly technology and thorough testing, QUBIG provides rapid prototyping and accelerated development cycles, benefiting both customer projects and new product development.

FIBER COUPLING

Offering fiber-coupled access to active optical components, QUBIG enables customers to enjoy increased stability, ease of installation, and the advantages of our SMD light-modulators.

ACTIVE ELECTRO-/ACOUSTO-OPTIC COMPONENTS

As a world-leader manufacturer of electro-optic modulators, QUBIG combines years of experience with cutting-edge facilities to control the entire development and production process of ultracompact light modulators.

INTEGRATED ELECTRONICS

Based on its decades of experience, QUBIG now successfully combines optical modules with RF electronics to build standalone laser conditioning modules in compact form factors. Two approaches are pursued, in which either standard free-space modulators are combined with their matching driver electronics or SMD-based light modulators are integrated into electronic circuits.
